Bangkok,: Day 4

Going around in Bangkok.

For this trip, XY took his mum to all the shopping complexes and also not to forget MaiBoonKong for she has not seen after we left Bangkok approximately 15 years ago.

After shopping inside Pratinum complex, again we rest our legs and decided to eat Ice cream again, at Swensens

Hua Hin to Bangkok: Day 3

Transport to Bangkok
We took a Tuk tuk from our hotel to the van terminal


The Tuk tuk : from hotel to van terminal: 100 Baht

Transportation cost from Hua Hin to Bangkok


Minvan: Baht 200/pax
Aircon Bus: Baht 180/pax
Both will arrive in Bangkok approximately 4 hours and earlier if no traffic jam in BKK

The Soi that we walked daily from hotel to Sky train.
Beside this Soi is The First Hotel


We took the Mini van depart :10.00am and arriving Bangkok,Victory Monument at around 1.00pm ,tTotal hours taken 3 hours, well no traffic jam.
From here, we took the sky train from Victory Monument station to Ratchathewi which is only 2 stations away. It took us another approximately 10 minutes to walk to our hotel, Grand Pratunam.

We immediately went over to Platinum shopping complex for my wife was very anxious to see what we have mentioned to her in our previous trip was right
. Well, she agreed and we went there twice before returning to Penang on the 6th day

Hua Hin, Thailand: Day 2 (part 4)


Since this is the 3th lunar day of Chinese New Year, we decided to celebrate this occasion by having Ice cream in Swensens. Here the ice creams are very cheap as compare to Malaysia. I do not know the reason but then it is definitely cheaper by 50 %. XY took once in Queen Bay Mall, Penang and they commented on the price.
When we were young, my dad will buy a tupperware of ice cream to celebrate CNY and also Ice cream soda to make float.

Our Dinner in the Soi.
Whenever in Thailand, we never miss a good meal from the Soi. Eat like the Thai people but then not too spicy. When it comes with Tom Yam, cook it like Thai style

Hua Hin. Day 2 (Part 1)

In Brief

Hua Hin means 'Stone Head', Originally it was known as Baan Samoe Rieng, or Baan Laem Hin (Stone Point Village)
She is the most popular seaside resorts of Thailand located in Prachuap Khiri Khan province and only 195kms to the South of Bangkok.


Hua Hin has many attraction for the tourist and is full of nice restaurants with excellent thai and International crusine.

We woke up at 5.30 am the following morning and waited and extra 1 and a half hour before finally reaching Hua Hin at 7.00am sharp. From Butterworth, Penang: Malaysia to HuaHin: Thailand. it took us 16 hours and 40 min
utes to reach. 5 minutes before arrival, the train Master reminded us that the next stop was Hua Hin.
