Hua Hin means 'Stone Head', Originally it was known as Baan Samoe Rieng, or Baan Laem Hin (Stone Point Village) She is the most popular seaside resorts of Thailand located in Prachuap Khiri Khan province and only 195kms to the South of Bangkok.
Hua Hin has many attraction for the tourist and is full of nice restaurants with excellent thai and International crusine.
We woke up at 5.30 am the following morning and waited and extra 1 and a half hour before finally reaching Hua Hin at 7.00am sharp. From Butterworth, Penang: Malaysia to HuaHin: Thailand. it took us 16 hours and 40 minutes to reach. 5 minutes before arrival, the train Master reminded us that the next stop was Hua Hin.

In the night All the seats and tables were converted to sleeping beds Lower Bed that cost slight more expensive than the upper one

Upper Bed. The price is slight cheaper and cost Rm 7 -10 less than the lower bed. I slept in the upper for I would be further away from the sound made by the rail track

What do you do when you are in the train? Well, the journey is very long and you have to prepare game, reading materials, and the most important is food. Since we have many cookies given by relatives and friends during this Chinese New Year festival, we have to packed them separately and took them along.

My wife has been talking of this beach and since all of us are back for this Chinese New Year, we decided to take a trip to well known beach in Thailand. My neighbour, Mr Soo gave us a map of one the town, Prachaupkhirkhan , 60km south of Hua Hin. and looking at the photos taken by him on his recent bicycle trip to Bangkok from Penang, we decided to take a trip to this area.
1st day 27/1/09

Left our home at around 11.45pm and reached the Ferry at around 12.45 after parking the company car back in the newly Penang Times Square. The only way to reach Hua Hin is by rail leaving Penang, Butterworth at 2.20pm and reaching Hua Hin,Thailand's, train station at around 7.00am the following morning.
